 I Presidenti di Camera e Senato annunciano a Sergio Mattarella l’elezione a Presidente della Repubblica
L’Italia si sveglia con un governo che si prepara alle dimissioni e con il presidente delvoto Consiglio Matteo Renzi che si prepara a rimettere il proprio mandato al presidente della Repubblica Sergio Mattarella. Un’ampia maggioranza degli italiani ha bocciato la riforma costituzionale che il segretario del Pd si è messo sulle spalle e alla quale ha affidato la propria faccia. Il dato definitivo dice che al No è andato oltre il 59 per cento dei voti, mentre al Sì il 40,4.
Il Quirinale cerca di frenare sul nascere l’ira funesta del premier Matteo Renzi, la sua sete di rifarsi sul tavolo verde della scommessa perduta con gli italiani. La possibilità che voglia imprimere un’accelerazione alla fine della legislatura, così da poter capitalizzare quel 40 per cento che sembra preludere a un partito totalmente «suo», e di maggioranza relativa di fronte ai grillini e a un centrodestra diviso tra le leadership di Berlusconi e Salvini.
Le dimissioni annunciate stanotte da Renzi secondo lo staff presidenziale sarebbero dovute essere ricondotte, smaltita la delusione, a mero «atto formale» senza alcuna ulteriore «drammatizzazione» verso crisi al buio. Invano era stato raccomandato al leader piddino di non farne una questione personale, un plebiscito su se stesso.
L’annuncio choc di Mattarella
Il governo, si ragiona, è pur tuttavia un’altra cosa. La prima intenzione del presidente Sergio Mattarella sarebbe quindi quella di formare un nuovo governo tecnico, rinunciando ad elezioni anticipate come chiesto da diverse fazioni politiche e schieramenti. Il presidente della Repubblica ha tuonato così: “Non andremo a elezioni anticipate, le uniche elezioni si terranno nel 2018 e fino ad allora sarà compito di Alfano e Romano Prodi guidare il Paese”.
