“Se vince il No vado a casa”. L’aveva detto Matteo Renzi quando si sentiva la vittoria in tasca. Ma con l’avvicinarsi del 4 dicembre, data del referendum costituzionale, e i sondaggi che danno il fronte del Sì a rischio sconfitta, lo scenario di un successore a Palazzo Chigi sembra sempre più concreta tra le fila del Partito Democratico.
Secondo La Stampa, i nomi che si rincorrono per un post Renzi sono sostanzialmente tre. Il superfavorito è Dario Franceschini, attuale ministro della Cultura. Il leader di Areadem (la corrente interna a cui appartiene mezzo partito) è vicino anche alla minoranza del Partito Democratico e a Forza Italia, rapporti fondamentali per un dopo referendum in cui si dovranno equilibrare gli interessi di tutte le ali del Parlamento. Talmente favorito da meritarsi anche una battutina di Renzi, che un paio di giorni fa, a Firenze, gli ha detto che: “Caro Dario, l’ultimo ferrarese che è passato di qui ha fatto una brutta fine“, riferendosi al Savonarola, di Ferrara come Franceschini, bruciato in piazza della Signoria.
Gli altri due nomi sono quelli di Pier Carlo Padoan, che Sergio Mattarella avallerebbe per rassicurare i mercati internazionali, e Carlo Calenda, ministro dello Sviluppo Economico, che si sarebbe vantato della possibilità di detronizzare Matteo Renzi grazie al suo impegno di spinta sulla crescita. Una vanteria che l’ha messo in cattiva luce col premier che, anche in caso di abbandono di palazzo Chigi, potrebbe cassarlo. Perché all’alba del 5 dicembre potrebbe non essere più Presidente del Consiglio, ma segretario del Pd rimane.
